Overview

Help Me Nigeria is a crowdfunding platform where individuals and organisations raise money for medical emergencies, school fees, business startups, community projects and NGOs. Fundraisers tell their story, set a goal in Naira, share their campaign and withdraw funds to any Nigerian bank. Donors give securely to verified campaigns and can see exactly how each one is progressing. We designed and built the web platform, the mobile apps and the admin portal.

The challenge

When Nigerians face a hospital bill or a school fee they can't cover, the usual move is a broadcast: a story and an account number posted on WhatsApp, Facebook or X. It reaches people, but it rarely builds trust.

Donors couldn't tell real needs from scams. A screenshot and an account number gave no way to verify the person or the cause.

No one could see progress. Givers had no idea how much had been raised, how close the goal was, or whether the money arrived.

Fundraisers lost momentum. Without a proper page to share, campaigns faded after a day or two in the timeline.

Organisations needed more than a bank account. NGOs and community groups wanted a professional way to run projects and rally supporters.

Moving money had to be safe. Both donors and fundraisers needed payments and withdrawals they could trust.

Help Me Nigeria set out to make online giving in Nigeria transparent, safe and easy to share.

Our approach

1. We gave every need a proper campaign page. Fundraisers create a campaign in guided steps: tell the story, set a goal in Naira, choose a category and tags, and add photos or video. Each campaign gets its own shareable page.

2. We built trust into the platform. Campaigns go through verification, and the platform follows a published AML and KYC policy, so donors know they are giving to real people and real causes.

3. We made progress visible. Every campaign shows the amount raised against the goal, the days left and the donations received, so donors can see their gift add up.

4. We made sharing the engine. One tap shares a campaign to WhatsApp, Facebook, X and Instagram, where Nigerian fundraising already happens, but now pointing to a page people can trust.

5. We made giving and payouts simple. Donors give through secure payments in a few taps. Fundraisers track funds in their wallet and withdraw directly to any Nigerian bank account.

6. We built for individuals and organisations. People fund urgent personal needs, while NGOs and organisations launch projects, raise funds and recruit volunteers from the same platform.

7. We took it to every screen. The web platform, iOS and Android apps share one system, with an admin portal for verification, campaign management and payouts. The web platform is live, and the mobile apps are built and going through app store onboarding.

The outcome

Help Me Nigeria launched on the web in 2026, giving Nigerians a trusted alternative to fundraising by broadcast, with the iOS and Android apps on their way to the app stores.

Verified causes, not screenshots. Donors give to campaigns that have been checked, with a clear story and goal.

Transparent giving. Raised, goal and days left are visible on every campaign.

Campaigns that travel. A shareable page turns a one-off post into a fundraiser that keeps working.

A home for organisations. NGOs and community groups run projects and rally volunteers in one place.

Safe payouts. Fundraisers withdraw straight to their Nigerian bank account.
